Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 60 minutes
Serving: 12 slices

  • 60ml of Merchant Gourmet pumpkin seed oil
  • 320g plain flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp cracked black pepper
  • 200ml milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp toasted pumpkin seeds
  • You will need a 13x23cm loaf tin


  1. Heat the oven to 180°C
  2. Grease and line the loaf tin
  3. Sieve all the dry ingredients into a large bowl
  4. Whisk together the Merchant Gourmet pumpkin seed oil, milk and eggs and add to the dry ingredients, stirring until well combined
  5. Stir through the pumpkin seeds
  6. Pour into the loaf tin and bake for 50 minutes
  7. Remove from the tin, turn off the oven and place back in for 10 minutes to crisp up the bottom of the loaf
  8. Serve toasted with plenty of butter
